Circuit number, wire color, pin number???

Does anyone know of a circuit or wire which is hot with the key in the "1" position (first position past OFF) and dead in all other positions?

    No

I want to provide an easy means to prime my fuel system. I want to run the fuel pump in the "1" position for a few seconds, then continue to "2" and "start". All my American cars do this automatically to restore any pressure that has bled off while the car has been sitting. BMW is the only car I've had that keeps the fuel pump off until engine motion is detected.

It actually does prime for a second with key-on.

You talking about your M5? I know my 89 535 doesn't prime but I just checked yesterday and my 95 530 does prime.

Maybe after a certain year they do. My 89 doesn't prime. Both my e28's and my e23 don't either.
