You can use most of the parts from an E34 535i. I've done it already on both my E34 and E32. Everything from an E34 will swap into an E32 except for the driveshaft for length reasons. Even the shifter linkage are the same length for both.
Contact south42 from the E34 Classifieds, he usually has some 5-speed swap kits for 535's.
Here is my 1993 (92 according to the VIN tag in the door) 740il. It is GCC spec and spent its whole life in Bahrain. It has 215,000 kilometers. Car is in really good condition. I will be shipping to Texas later this year when i return home.

@mikemouw those front seats were replace right!? If not, holy cow you've got nice leather. How'd you restore it?

That really is a beautiful 740. Interior is magnificent. @BEEW if you're interested in replacing any interior leather check GAHH. Just google them. A little more than 10 years ago I replaced leather for both front seats and both armrests. They have exact factory leather. You just give them your color code. If you send them the old covers they'll even remove the heaters and replace them in the new covers. I also got four yards of factory headliner from them. All you need is a good upholsterer to do the work. Their materials are exact. Even today if you looked at my interior there is no difference between the front and back seat (which I didn't replace), and no difference in color and texture between the front seat the the headrests that I didn't replace. Great company. This was done years ago, but I see they still have their web site up. https://gahh.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI...iAAEgJCMfD_BwE

Amazing info. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have to do the headliner at some point, was thinking Alcantara because regular old cloth up top is boring if I'm going to go to all the work of redoing it.

I agree about his interior beautiful !!! my interior is perfect as well!!! I got super lucky with 205k miles for it to be like that I believe its all original I'm gonna baby it best I can. I gotta get better pics but trust me It was a major selling point of this car.
I love how much wood got into the later year e32s, the ashtray and handle really elevate the luxury Is yours curly maple? One of my favorite trims. (The best wood being individual walnut).
I think I've got Myrtle... Matches whats in my e46.

There is a little folded slip with the options list tucked under the rear seats. Tucked in between the leather and cushion. The code for the wood trip should be there although this wood trim looks like the standard for the year of your car with inlay.
Dont forget to put the slip back in the seat!

My 1993 750i, sitting on Japan Racing JR9, nothing else to write home about aside for the Blaupunkt Bremen SQR49 radio in there, factory new and the only thing that 100% works in the car.
The thing had been sitting in a barn for a good 10 years till I decided it was a good waste of 2000€ in 2016. Very little rust, if at all. There's a couple of very tiny specks here and there, but otherwise it's extremely solid physiscally for a Finnish E32 that has seen a couple of winters in its life and a lot of road salt. Dents and scratches here and there from having been a daily driver, currently sitting at 320k km.
Mechanically a sound car aside for some extremely ratty and questionable fixes done by the previous owner and I'm not helping the case at all with my shoddy repairs. Electronics are a big mess though, they barely work and something new and exciting (also expensive) fails pretty much every time I take it on the road. Still think whatever fate I bestow upon it is better than rotting away in a barn, I believe cars should be sent out with a bang.
@iris Is the car talking to you in Japanese? The German messages in the dash are complaints about the coolant level and brake pads.
Your car looks great. Never have driven a short wheelbase E32 before... wish I could have a 750i here
