All the rides are so sweet............what size tires are you guys running _Im looking into putting a set of Style 5 (17 all around) on my 93 740i - not sure what size to roll with 205/40/17 ?
I'm running a set of Conti Extreme Contact tires - 245/45/ZR17 on my 88 E32.
That tire size might work, but I would check the load rating on those size tires. Here's a better shot of the tires I have on my car so you can see the clearance with stock shocks and springs. The ride and handling with these tires has been very good given the weight of the car.

Love that Bronzit Beige Metallic..........................with the tan leather. Looking at your wheels I take it yours is an IL. Mine is the same color and I've been staring at it since 2/90. You've got a beautiful car.
Jeff
Picking up a FREE E32 tomorrow. Running ,some minor issues. EDC has some leaking lines per owner. 1994 with 160k on the clock. Sagging headliner, small water leak in the vicinity of the water pump. EDC shocks were all replaced less than 2 years ago, but the car sat for a while as the heater valve was leaking and owner was tired of repairs. The guy works in my office complex, fell in love with the E34, so we'd chat often. Up and decides to put the E32 in the hands of a bimmer freak. SO, I'll end up with an E32 and an E38. Lost the E34 November last year(gone, but not forgotten)
I look forward to joining the crew. See you chaps around

howsit all, just picked up this 1994 model (manufacturerd 08/93) 730i
today is day 2 of 730ia ownership, my other ride is a e39 525i which is being sold and im busy restoring/refreshing
a e39 530d. wow this old car really impresses me, full service history at agents upto 272 000km. the car has now got 274 000km
the body has a few little shopping trolley dings and dents, also the rear windscreen channels has some rust which i need to fix asap.
other than that this car is clean as can be.
does anyone know whats up with the chrome wheel arch trim ??
also, on the bootlid it appears to have a //M emblem and if you look closer its been there for many year...
however i obiously know there was no //M 730... was wondering perhaps some sort of m package?
if those chrome arches arent legit they need to be removed.
im in capetown south africa
Regards
Anton
I've seen some scary photos of jacks & stands etc with/and advice that you must do this on level concrete, don't want to die under 2 tons of 7 series Here's another option, still use ramps but also dig a trench down the centre ( sand is best for this). Many people wont have this option but if you do...... PS: have tailshaft problems & just like everything on a beemer it's a PITA (pain in the ass) job.
