The HasenGoeringpfeffer hobo turbo pocket pen med/thread for PHASE III 俳句

This is to be the next "period" of development/documentation.
(1st period layeth HERE in the FrankenHimmlerstein thread)

The previous turbo set up worked well. The 666/MAXpsi 4" down w/ recirc kit proved itself well at a bar (14.5 psi) on a base TRM Tuning chip.
I have been watching many new turbo products come and go since 2008 (when I purchased the 666/MAXpsi hardware)
but told myself I'd at LEAST eventually get the 666/MAXpsi stuff installed, drive it and get to KNOW the new feel for turbo, as I'd NEVER known a sorted RWD turbo set-up. I was able to sell my twinscrew kit for a record price, $7000, so I installed the 666/MAXPsi kit and enjoyed it thoroughly.

In the last five years, some new hardware, fancy new turbos, wheels and technology along with "proprietary" pieces and "tunes" lol
have popped up, giving the masses more choices and competitive prices and better designed/engineered/built hardware and tunes. Well, for the MOST part the latter is true.

AR Design caught my eye years ago when they popped up here and on another funny forum. They seem to WANT to sell some product. Even better, they care enough to want to design and fabricate it better than their peers/competitors. Compare their goods to the others. They're MAKING/designing mass producing hardware for multiple platforms, all HERE IN THE USA. They're wise enough to bring the sweat shops here to CO. I joke...I kid.

My 666 came out thru the bottom VERY easily (with full A/C still installed.

Once the a/C compressor, bracket and lines were out of the way, the AR Design manifold slipped in from the bottom and onto the studs within 10 seconds.

So, what's going on here? New build? Why are you posting in the drag section?

Dang it. You scared me. I thought I was the only one in here.

The AR Design top mount TWIN screamin' gates custom mated to the GT40R (88 or the 42r HYBRID, the GT4094r), both will fit.

My downpipe fit fine......BUT, I thought I'd practice my hand at some "Master of Sparks"...and grind away a portion of the shelf back there to make fitment even EASIER.

It worked. It worked well. It takes 3 second to drop my 3.5 down pipe in.

    Oh yeah.

Believe you me... it was a debate between the new HIGH SITTING bottom mount Maximum PSI set-up (well designed and sorted around AIR CONDITIONING, with downpipe, the MINIFOLD, as I've coined it and a nice intake pipe)

and the AR Design toppy kit.

With my swiftly aging-ness and no in-garage "lift" like many of the other "poor" people on the forum,
I chose to go with the hardware that would be MOST friendly for my future maintenance, installs and messing 'round.

I'm very excited and VERY close to finalizing the install.

NEW hardware "build" so to speak.

The "leader" of the FI section had many sign a petition requesting me removed frequently for too much drama.

    No luck here
and we KNOW what the 40r will do.

    It will rape the others.

The GT40r has been (since 2003) the turbo of choice across many platforms
long before the FI granny queens here "tested" them.

Gt4088/94 is probably the best turbo for the s52 hands down.
With proper driving/traction 10s all day with ease.

Oh believe me... I will GO!!!

I'll have some work time this weekend,
after work weekdays are too dark and deserve my relaxation.

A few small parts orders and the charge piping will line right up.

Is that a 3.5" or 4" DP and is the AC going back in?

Also, can you post some pictures of the clearance between the frame rail and WG downpipes? Trying to figure out if the DP's can be routed such a way to keep the AC in place and not modify the lines.

MilKt, did you ever get an exhaust on your car with the other set up, I don't ever remember reading about any completion there.

Are you sticking with the GT4088R or are you switching to the GT4094R for max slaughter?

I wonder how detrimental the lack of length of the #1 runner is to flow into or out of that cylinder and combustion chamber temps/ knock? It's common on a lot or our turbo manifolds including the MaxPSI, Steedspeed etc. (except the high bottom mount Otisfold).

Your cars looking good. I'm in for seeing the results.

AR Design is fabricating a set-up for use with A/C right now.
I was offered but I declined. If A/C is important... they WILL provide.

Hmm. I was not aware of this. I was always under the impression that all of their manifolds were fabricated to be AC friendly. Which portion of the mani interferes?

Also, what size is your DP. 3.5" or 4"?

    Nope,
never installed an exhaust. No need

    Staying with 88R - .85 ar
A 94r is just gonna run out of fuel in it's ideal range and there's no need for all that extra funny stuff for a 600whp street car (let alone a 500 track car.) The 88r/94r perform equally at medium boost levels.

As for the first runner logic/science,
MikeE36 may have done some EGT logging with his killer sorted beast,
but I'm not concerned at this point. Maybe he can share findings.

You ARE right, according to AR Design. These are A/C adaptive....with custom a/c lines. semi-ninja edit.
I took a few small measurements before installing and it looked like it'd be in the way.

    3.5"

I will argue the 6466 will give a gt40r car a run for its money....

    Without a doubt,
though it took Precision's "borrowing"? of Garrett's technology to do such.

    Then again,
future's using the BATMOWHEEL on his 40r...
Maybe it would give the 6466 a run?
