1999 Z3 2.5 to 3.2 conversion

I want to swap out my 2.5 to a 3.2.
Can the 2.5 be bored out to he larger 3.2? then just change the crank and rods or is there more to that?

Your 2.5 is an M54B25, isn't it? Is the block aluminum (I think it is). You could put the M54B30 crank, rods and pistons into your 2.5 block to get a 3.0, but you cannot bore your block much more than about 1mm, which would put you at about 3,050cc.
