    2001 BMW 325Ci

    P0444 code

    Took my car, 2001 325Ci, to get the codes read today and received a P0444 code. It translates to "evaporative emission control valve circuit open". Has anyone ever seen this before and if so, whats the fix? I'm at a loss right now and could really use some help. Thanks on advance.

    For those searching and arriving here, it's likely the purge valve that needs to be replaced. Very common failure item, is about $80 for genuine BMW part. You can replace it yourself under 30 minutes even as an amateur.
