Ferrari Red 8 Series Alpina B12 5.7

This beast showed up to a local meet here last night, owner says it's the only alpina in the U.S! So I wanted to share my pics with you guys, it's a beauty!

Thanks for the comments guys! I believe what the owner said was that it came ferrari red from the factory, and that it hasnt been repainted.

I honestly dont know much about the 8 series, so Im not too sure of the differences.

The owner does not seem very knowledgeable due to that comment. I love 8s, that thing is fucking awesome. I saw a 850 with a manual trans a couple days ago = wow.

That's not the same car. B7 is based on the 7 Series from the last generation.

Beautiful 8 Series though. They will always be one of my favorite BMW's of all time.

I have the other Alpina B12 here in the US. The red car pictures is the only B12 5.7 in the us, and I have the only documented B12 5.0.

That color is actually an original BMW color that was available, but produced in very limited quantities

On the B12 5.7, almost all were based on the CSi, so one could have either the CSi nose spoiler, or the Alpina spoiler.

Ironically, the prototype M8 is "Ferrari red" as well.

I was lucky enough to see both this Alpina B12 and the M8 together at this year's Legends of the Autobahn in Monterey.

This Alpina is truly gorgeous, but the amount of rust on the exhaust/underbody was shocking. The mufflers are nearly totally eaten through. I wonder if Alpina even has replacements available.
