    wipers acting up

Probably a general question, but it's a z4 so figured I'd ask here first.

As I'm pulling out of my driveway, I put the wipers on intermittent. When I get to the street the wipers have gone a half cycle (fully extended) and stopped. No setting works for them to move. I opened the window, reached over and they're solid - not moving. I shut the car off, restart and they reset and work again - once (full cycle this time), and won't activate anymore. I'm in a hurry so I get to where I'm going, park for about 10 minutes and when I come out they're working fine again. This just happened and I haven't driven the car since they last worked fine.

    Any thoughts?

Not so much a signature as a cry for help.

Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.

the grease inside the wiper assembly/motor likes to conduct electricity and close the circuit at unwanted times... there's a DIY somewhere that shows you how to fix it yourself, relatively easy to do

I just did the repair. Found the details here: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewto...p?f=34&t=55535

Took about an hour and a half. easy peasy.
