Hi guys: I found these; and thought you may find them fun.

When I was a teen my dad had a 78 4 speed with the carbed six and all the guages and switches in German. (last year of that, afterwards Camur Uruguay was set up by BMW as a half assembly plant...)

He purchased this car in 1980.
The crash was in 1988 my Dad was hit by a bus without breakes...
Camur cut it in half, and fixed it; and he drove this car till 1992 at which time he sold it for $6k... (insurance Co down in South America don't buy you a new car...

Yes cars are very expensive in those parts, 6000 because it's a gas guzzler! Lol. You could buy a Fiat 1000cc diesel for 12, 13k at the time.. Prices where related to mileage, not car...
I'm trying to find a pic of the car after the fix, the one intact is before as it still has the side mirror...

I loved that thing it was silky smooth had actual leather seats (very puffy), and second gear was endless...
I remeber being a "kid" asking my dad to buy the Black one with beige leather seats... he said it was too sporty... LMAO.
