Great looking touring, man. What side of Richmond do you normally hang around? I'd love to see this thing rolling down broad st. one day
past cars 99' 328i, 01' 325xi, 97' m3/4/5, 00' 540i-6, 01' 325ci-5, 93' 325i-5, 00' ///M5, 95' 325i
present 98' 740il,98' ///M3
holy god bro! That car is awesome!
Here is my motor. The ECU kit is a stand alone GM Perfomance E67 for use with the ZR1 and the CTSV. The motor is also even more powerful than that article I posted apparently. Still waiting on the specifics and the actual dyno sheet to be sent over but my friend says this one made over 600hp!! And he said it revs to 7k too
Also some photos of my carpet after I cleaned it all up.

From what I understand, it's this motor with a hotter cam. The motor I bought was one of Thomson's GMPP LSX 427's that they had leftover and tried to further tweak. It has all new internals and was run on the dyno so I should have the dyno sheet and build specs this eve or tomorrow.

So badass!
Yes, please. That thing is going to surprise the hell out of a lot of people.

Amazing, can't wait to hear it come to life.
Unbelievable that that engine makes 600 horsepowerz. I really can't wait to hear the exhaust note.
Brought the 427 home last night My indy friend is taking the E39 this eve to pull the motor, pay me $500 and then bring the car back. Should be setting the motor in the car Sunday to start figuring out where the harness will go etc. So excited.
Also, the wifey and I will be having a baby on Monday so I will be super busy b/t baby and E39 project and will probably get zero sleep for a while.

I am currently working on my E46 325XiT , any advice?
Your E39 is absolutely beautiful! Definitely motivation to work on mine!
Stack loot first
Clay towed the car home for me after an indy friend pulled and purchased the motor.
I pulled the sway bar and cleaned up the bay. Swapped the autokraft oil pan over and installed the mounts. First test fit.
haha, stack loot and then just put it all in at once. Again bravo.
that looks like it belongs in there. Sexcellent so far.
awesome.. what motor/tranny mounts are you using?

god I'll never get over how much room there is with the LS engines in there...
2003 E39, manual, sport, debadged, full service history from new, staggered authentic 18" alpina softlines, M5 mirrors and trunk lip, 30% 3M tint, DICE silverline ipod integration, valentine one rear headrest stealth install, CDV delete, 545i short shifter + zhp shift knob, zimmerman rotors, axxis pads, custom interior (two-tone sand beige black with microsuede A pillars, oem black headliner, sandbeige 18-way adjustable comfort seats)
What color is that
Mojave metallic brown. "Individual" car.
The project is nice and all, but doing this while also having a baby born...You sir have gasoline in your blood. Respect.
I just wanted to say congrats on the baby. You will soon see it will consume almost all of your time. Thank goodness you have two cars. You will want an escape sometimes and this will probably be yours. Enjoy the baby, the car can wait. You will never be able to replace time and development with your child.
Best e39 engine bay ive seen in a while. Looks like she belongs in there
