Thanks!! As much of a turbo fan as I am, one ride and then a drive in Clay's (357i) LS1 E36 was all it took for me to become a convert. Not to mention a few other friends of mine have been stuffing LS's in anything with wheels for a while now so I have a lot of local resources for everything imaginable. Nothing like a big V8 with gobs of torque. And you already have tons of power to start with should you decide on FI. Since I am starting with 500+, I am leaning towards ITB's in the not to distant future.
golden, to many mods not to take serious.
GI JOE TROUBLE BUBBLE 2

That Datsun
I love the color on the e39 and with new bumpers it's gonna be quite the looker
First proper shoot.
Yessss
I don't usually feel this way but I think non CELIS actually looks better on that color when turned off with more red and less clear, although nothing compares at night when they're on.
OP, did you roll the fenders at all or replace/modify the fender liners?
What are the wheel and tire sizes ?
wow...um...just wow.
and that datsun...love it.
cant wait to see this car come together.
Jb
So far I have only rolled fenders. 19x9.5/10.5 with 245/35 & 275/30/19's.
That color is so beautiful, cant wait to see how this turns out!
Love the color, just get some proper wheels and off that varrestone shit and you'll have a solid car!
looks really fresh =) nice to see an e39 in other color than blue, white or black =)
are those turner studs?
I don't have any photos of the wheels on with stock height. The front passenger rubbed just a hair on the outside so I raised it 3/16th's which are shown in the final pics. Every now and then I get very subtle rubbing in the passenger rear when I hit a hard bump at highway speeds. But I believe that is mainly b/c of my shock setup. Working on getting shocks done to match the coilover spring setup in the rear. When I do, I think all the bounciness will be gone and therefore prevent the extended travel. Either way, it barely rubs at all and must be on the inside liner as I see no signs on the outside.
The wheels studs are from VAC. Thanks for the comment on the color. I was going to get alpine white but when I saw this for sale, I knew I had to have it. I absolutely love the color.

When is the M5 front bumper going on?
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?
Hopefully any day now. The temps are going to stay above 70 until tomorrow eve and then drop down to 50 again wed so keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow. I don't like painting below 65.
Let me know...

Clay found this online last night and I have confirmed that this is in fact the motor I am getting Not quite as much torque as I had originally thought but no complaints from me

Excellent, can't be too many of them getting around in that colour, let along that condition.
