turn signals n brights not working LCM

need help i have a e39 540i everything works but turns signals and high beams but hazard work trouble shot wiring for short from stalk to lcm everything fine good ground from turn signal switch s7 pin 7 to ground 0 ohms reading from turn signal 8,9 switch to lcm 32,14 no breaks for right n left turn indicator wiring which let me to believe it the LCM

Bought a uses LCM from eBay reprogram it with bmw scanner tool 1.4 new odometer reading n vin an algorithm but no luck with turn signals also read a lot of forums it mention ncs expert how or what do i have to recode LCM any help would be greatly appreciated need to get working to pass PA inspection . any independent BMW tech in area camp hill PA

used this procedure to recode lcm then seem to need to use ncs expert to get the trun signal to work waiting on my cable

had the same problem, turns out was the turn signal switch, it burned inside. i bought a new one and voila, everything works now.

after being very frustrated with the turn signal i took it into the shop after a week the shop could not figure it out so i watch the above video you tube turn signal relay apd order the relays n spliced it in which cost about $29 total an finally worked with turn signal switch. i had to goggle the A3 LCM pin out

Old (pre 3/99 build) and new (post 3/99 build) cars have different turn signal stalks and wiring. You can either rewire the car as you did or simply recode the LCM to your car using DIS (I think INPA can do it to, but DIS is easy).

INPA can't code anything, but NCS Expert can. Coding with NCS Expert is fast & simple once you get the hang of it.
