So we decided to take Johns M3 out to Darlington dragway to see if we can beat his personal best of 10.4 @136.xx. We did not get it this time but I think we had a great chance if we had not run into an issue with the new tranny mounts allowing the tranny to torque enough to where John could not get the car into 2nd gear. Fun night though and John is getting really good coming out the hole. Here are a few runs on how the night went. He did get a full pull once and ended up with a 10.6 @138.xx. As you can see in Darlington they grudge race so thats the reason for them not posting the times or trap speed. enjoy.

Awesome! Looking strong out of the hole. Is he running a tune for 100 or 93? Didn't this car make 6xxwhp?
I am really impressed how she comes out of the hole.

Very interesting which turbo? Gtx35?

CES is probably doing at least what it did before -- 100 octane, 50/50 water/meth, 26.5 psi, 660+ rwhp -- as seen here:

I would like to know what the CES T4 GT35R car has done on the dyno. Last I read, it was 500 rwhp at 15 psi.
Do you have a 100 octane dyno?Originally Posted by 2002330i

What are you trying to compare? You should run a 100 octane tune and then overlay the pulls.Originally Posted by 2002330i
Post the overlay if you can, regardless of the fuel.

I get it, just not a very good comparison. He is running race gas and WI injection. Get the bigger MAF housing on there, have Jordan tune for 100 octane and WI. Then compare...Originally Posted by 2002330i

Im running 100 octane 50/50 meth injection and about 27-28 psi on stock obd1 ecu AA 60# injector tune we remote tuned with Karl from Active. Last dyno pulls I did were at this boost level...
674.77whp and 653.32wtq SAE dynojet numbers at 95 degree temps in the shop... and still a little wheelspin.
We are running our GTX35R stg3 system with .82ar exhaust housing and 3.5" exhaust, our new built subframe with 7 series diff conversion, DSS 1000hp driveshaft, and stock axles, Hoosier 275's on 17" stock bmw wheels and UUC twin disc clutch.
NO weight reduction at all. Car weighs 3300 lbs with me in it.
Here is the fastest time I've run with the car to date... 10.43s @ 135.9mph

Finally back on topic.

I agree, based on the 1/8th, seems like she should definitely be over 140.
Good luck next time out, that thing definitely moves regardless.
~Ken~ '99 M coupe THE "original" TT Stage 3 - HTA3586R; 701 whp 672 wtq @ 26.5 psi ; NeverSell - CoupeCartel
The car makes great power 674 whp and yes it should trap 140 + on that power level but at red line it fall way off and naturally the mph drops off to a 600 whp trap speed because the car is on the top of forth gear.
I need to get a copy of my dyno sheet to post up and compare the difference in these turbos characteristics.
A shorter gear would help the trap speed on the CES car or a taller gear and 5 th gear shift the way it sits.
Its a bad a$$ car.

Do a search on RKtunes
1997 BMW Luxury Edition, full weight spare tire and my bag of plumbing tools in the backs. 10.80's 138.6 mph on the rpm limiter just before the the 1/4 mile before being asked to not run again. Modifications below.
ICS Turbo Kit
(Stock Internals)
4094R .95 exhaust housing
ICS Spec Camshafts
3.5 Turbo Back Exhaust
FX 725 Clutch kit
Rogue Short throw shifter
Rogue Rtab's
PSS10 Coil over kit
Turner sway bars
AEM Wide band
Turbo smart eboost 2
Stock, axles, stock differential, stock drive shaft
93 Octane pump gas tune, my car is not a race car just a VERY healthy street car. With more gear my car can easily trap low 140's as it sits.
I will be installing a 6 speed euro transmission and a built 2.93 gear in the near future.
