That's the only picture unfortunately but I'll be headed back up to the mountain next weekend! If it's snowing again then the chains will have to go back on. Who says that 850s aren't practical? We took my 850 and a Model S on the trip and mine was the car we drove all over town because of the ski rack and ski tunnel.

The rack isn't OEM but works perfectly.

Here are the parts that I bought for my roof rack:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001COCE...526661_TE_item

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001COIY...526661_TE_item

    https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/roof-...b43-_-arb43999

I went with 47" bar length, but according to the write-up on Frankie's site you can use the 43" bars with some modifications: http://www.frankies-bmw.com/8series/..._Roof_Rack.pdf

Strange, when I click on the amazon UK links they don't come up. You wouldn't happen to have the part numbers would you? Was it plug and play and no modifications?

No modifications. Just pop up the roof rack tabs and install according to the Thule instructions.

    The amazon.co.uk products are:

    • Thule 3007 Fixpoint Fitting Kit (part number 183007)
    • Thule Fixpoint Xt Rapid System Footpack for Cars with Built-in Fixpoints (part number 753000)

That's simply because we didn't get double glazing like the big brother C140.

Not 'everyday', not 'dirty' either...but 'driven' she was, on this day at least!
