2013 328 - engine differences California vs. rest of country

    Hi

Are there any engine and/or emission systems differences for the 2013 328 series between models sold in California vs. the rest of the country?

Unless it is the SULEV version, then the answer should be No. The SULEV version of the N20 engine I believe is the N26, so look for that.

Not that I am aware of though to my knowledge many car companies put in their manuals something along the lines of : this car meets or exceeds California smog standards 20xx. This is because our requirements for smog are way out there but our market size is so huge most cars shipped state side are made to meet said requirements.

They still sell SULEV cars with a different engine. Just not sure if it is a mix of both or some states are restricted to SULEV only. This maybe due to CAFE and the need for averages to meet it not all.
