It was in PA prior to TX.
Glad to see you are still running my front plate I hate seeing the car in someone else's driveway though. That was the best part about the guy I sold it to. He was not online.
The only reason it has your front plate in the pic is because I literally had no plates for it. But this week it passed Texas State Emission & Safety Inspection and yesterday I picked up the new tags and registration sticker. It is all legit now! I plan to mount your front plate in the garage some place.

A few minor mods so far:
Took off the Borla XR1 race mufflers and put Borla XS Pro in their place. Car is probably 50% quieter and can't be heard inside the house as well. I continued using V-Bands, so either muffler can be re-installed in minutes.
Also, I got the exhaust tips replicated for the new mufflers and got them cut at about a 24deg angle to match the lines of the bumper.
My next planned mod is a dual Oil Temp and Oil Pressure gauge mounted where the foglight switch is before I take it out to the track. Those were the 2 most important things I monitored in my past race cars, that aren't typically shown on the gauge cluster. Something like this pic I found:

Overall the car is excellent in every way and a hoot to drive! No leaks and starts up every time, even after it sat for a couple weeks over the holidays.
-Dean!
X2. I work in Plano near Frisco and would love to see it in person! PM me!

I was going to try to make it to Cars & Coffee tomorrow but actually need the Wagon to transport some things. Do either of y'all go to the NTBC meets or bbqs? Lets try to make the next one.
Happy to hear everything is still doing well, Dean! Tips look great. I wish I could hear the new sound in person. I sure do miss that car..
I couldn't make C&C however I'm local frequently when not traveling. Let me know!

Looking good! I transported my Christmas tree in the 540it yesterday as well. Great minds think alike!
I tried lowering my touring quite a bit more in the rear, but I ended up raising it back up because it kept bottoming out in the rear, especially when loaded with stuff. With a touring the utility is more important than the looks, at least for me since I don't have any other large vehicles to transport stuff in.

Obtained some Style 65 18x9.5 OEM M5 wheels (square set).
Got 275/35/18 Bridgestone Potenza RE71R's mounted up.
Minor inner fender liner rubbing up front at full lock.
Plan to work out any kinks at the next BMWCCA Autocross.

The reason I don't use an M5 gauge cluster with the oil temp gauge in the cluster is because you have to send in your DME to get all that working and I'm afraid to even touch the DME, plus figure out the right voltage for the BMW oil temp sender since obviously it would need to be a GM oil temp sender. The DME is too important for too many things so I figured I just won't touch it. (And I never use the fog lights...)

Cool update on the touring! I almost ordered RE71R's for my Nissan project but ended up going with the Direzza III's instead since they went after the RE on the newest design. I am sure both are great and they look near identical.
Yes, I started drooling the moment I read about that a few weeks ago when it was announced. What a beauty and the power.... The price isn't terrible IMO.
Went to a BMWCCA Autocross. Car was very flat in cornering, but had some intermittent power steering issues; RVAE34 this week told me that the Turn One power steering adapter was set to the smallest orifice and it can be made slightly larger as needed. My arm is up so much because I had to reposition my hand to get more leverage to get the car turned-in to not hit a cone. A small autocross is a good place to shake out a car.
