It's a build thread, the car is not done. He already mentioned he's changing the interior and I'm sure he'll change the side marker. As for the rest of what you said, that's just nonsense. Look at his past builds. I'm sure this one will turn out just as stellar.

car is coming along quite well! i think black int would definitely give the car a much more subtle look to flow with the wheels/tints. cant wait to see more! (btw, congrats on baby)
Wait... What? Is the baby here already?

nice unique color you have there
This may sound a bit unorthodox but have you thought about how the car might have looked if you went with satin gold wheels to match the car color and interior? But I think the only way you could pull off the gold wheels would be if you left the windows clear to see the interior color.
I'm talking about gold wheels like these
I read also that you were lookig to do a quad set up on your regular touring rear bumper so I attached a pic of my setup for referance and to ensure that it would look good because I feel my setup came out very clean.

Thanks for that photo with the tips! That's exactly what I will do for now.
I thought about bronze but felt the colors would clash. I kind of want a dark aggressive look to this car so I felt the black would work well with the black trim and tint. I think that once the motor is in, the exterior will more closely match the beautiful noise she will make.
Also, thanks for the kind words everyone. People are entitled to their own opinion, Dune's just happens to be stupid. Trolls gonna troll. And why wouldn't they, it's not like they have any skills or anything better to do.
This car certainly isn't going to be for everyone. I could have easily spent $20k on a nice M5 or a number of other cars. But I love wagons (especially the E39) and wanted something with more power. My engine makes more than 100 hp and 150 ft lbs of torque over the S62 right out of the box. And the LSX will be easier to maintain and cheaper to mod. In the future, there either be a twin screw or ITB's. I also bought this particular car for the color and the color alone. It's the best color I have ever seen on an E39 and I was dead set on alpine Interior will be swapped for black.
For anyone who hasn't seen some of the other cars I have put together, here are a few pix and links. The touring should be above and beyond anything I have done before. Can't wait! Also keep in mind I only just bought the touring a few months ago Takes time to get all the details right.

Better pix Loving it. Rubs just a hair in the rear on the passenger side when it bottoms out over hard bumps. But I think that's mainly b/c I am still running standard Bilstein shocks with the coilovers. I need to get new shocks made bad!

Rav,
At first when I saw your new black wheels, I too was a bit disappointed...
The wheel centers seem to bow-out a bit much for my tastes...
However, after looking at your recent pictures, your new wheels look stellar...!
LOL!
Looking for an E39 belly pan , passenger front inner fender liner …
New photos look awesome, fitment is spot on. Probably mentioned already but are you doing M5 mirrors?

lol. I couldn't believe no one else picked it up before me as it was posted here on bf.c in classifieds.
Car is looking great, I'm not sure if I missed it but what % tint do you have on the front windows?
Quite a number of differences between the T56 and TR6060 or it's aftermarket variant, the T56 Magnum. The TR6060 has a stronger case, larger input shaft and some of the bearings are larger as well, stronger shift forks, it has triple cone synchros for gears 1 through 4. The T56 has a removable bellhousing the TR6060 has an integrated bellhousing. Unlike the T56 the TR6060 uses a remote shifter and a fixed output flange instead of a slip yoke. In their stock forms the some of the gear ratios are different as well. As you would expect, stock for stock, the TR6060 has a higher torque rating than the T56.

The chassis must always be regarded as a means to an end and never as an end itself
Thanks for clarifying all that. I hope the mounting points are the same as well as shifter location once mounted. Clay's setup with the GTO shifter lined up perfectly.
Tint is 5% on the rear hatch, 20 on the rear cargo windows and 35 on all doors.
If I change the interior trim, Clay has dibs on it.

I to use a GTO T56 so it lined up quite well. In your case, with the TR6060, you will have to make a shifter for it as seen on the link below (that is if your TR6060 has the stock remote shifter configuration.)
