Had a free hour last night, looked around and found a piece of Vibrant 3" aluminium and an aluminium weld fill cap and boss. So, made this. Could be a travel mug, could be some type of liquid holder. Dunno. Just another pos to add to the dumb stuff I make when I have time to play.

Cool, but kind of an expensive POS to add to the pile, with the cost of that Vibrant cap and all..

I have heard that you really need it to be divided all the way to the gate, or the turbulence will hinder the twin pulse design/theory.

Close off the manifold. Tired of all this open this split that. Seal the dam thing and be done with it.
Back to important things, where is Flavor Flav nowadays ?
Is Charlie Manson dead ? Who raped the Corey's ?
Who here knew Spacey was bi ?
How many pits in a peach ?
Tree falls in the road, over the palace state parkway, how many men are dispatched to get that tree off the parkway ?

You're very philosophical today, or is it just curious?

Nothing really. Its more like having a twin scroll manifold and utilizing it to its potential. You need to divide it all the way to the gate.

Does it matter much for a race car that is always above 4000 rpm? I figured twinscroll was best for street cars to bring in the boost sooner so it is accessible in the rpm range in which most people spend most of their street driving time.

Screwed on a ceramic #12 Furick cup today. What a massive difference with stainless. Gas coverage is perfect. 1/16 408 filler

Personally I hate the clear cups. This ceramic screws on and doesn't mess with stupid orings.

Jack the gas flow. They require a min of 35 CFH to work well. I have a CK Gas Saver large Dia, that motherfucker takes 45 because it's a 1-1/8" cup. The name is ironic, I think they mean the gas saves the material cause it don't save any gas. But man do they ever make stainless and titanium happy.

I use an 8 gas lens for everything. That's what I found works for me anyway

That's where I was as well. Well at least till this furick cup for stainless. Ran 20cfh and I got only gold color running around those pieces.

Try a 6 or even 5 for aluminum. The smooth flow keeps the puddle clean but the small orifice drastically reduces the etching zone

I guess I will keep that in mind if I ever really NEED to make some super pretty stainless or Ti welds, but until then they're staying in the drawer. My limit is about 20cfh for an actual job, because I hate knowing I'm going through argon like there's no tomorrow.

Seems like it takes 10 F'N min to make a dam post. I'm prepping myself to quit this forum as since the BFC app broke, it has sucked since.
Anyway. I'm reinforcing a trans mount
