This thing is crazy - that valve setup is really clever.

First dyno wasn't good, but second time was better. Had to made a bigger 86mm one-way valve and add a small IC between the supercharger and turbo. ECU changed from VEMS to MaxxECU.

MaxxECU is just so much better in any way compared to VEMS. I had many kind of different problems with VEMS, the fuel pump output crashed(always needed a reboot), had trigger errors, really strange behavior in the upper end, spikey dyno graph, and connection problems to the laptop every here and then.

MaxxECU has bigger and more accurate VE-, ignition- and Lambda tables. You can adjust the trigger voltages(works without problems with stock triggers). It's a lot easier to use and everything is working fast and smooth. USB connection to PC is reliable. Internal Bluetooth sender, and the tablet app is nice.

    $1,645.00 USD.

    Small facts about MaxxECU

    • Up to 8 cylinders fully sequentially
    • Widebandlambda straight in without external electronics (integrated electronics)
    • Integrated 400Kpa MAP sensor
    • Support for VANOS/VVT
    • Suitable for both low and high-ohm injectors without additional resistors
    • 8st EGT inputs (built-in amplifier)
    • Advanced warning and safety functions
    • Fast and secure communication over USB
    • Mdash Android app for real-time data over Bluetooth
    • CAN module for more analog and digital inputs / outputs
    • CAN module for PWM control of pumps / fans

Here is another small DIY I made up for to pass MOT. Did earlier change Touareg Brembo calipers all around, 6pot in front and 4pot in rear. So I loose my mecanical hand brake... and we need a mechanical park brake to pass MOT here. There was too little space to fit Brembo mechanical calipers, and I couldn't afford them either, so I decide to make my DIY calipers.

That is sooo cool! How heavy would it be if you used aluminum plate instead of steel?

Really interesting stuff! Question though. Where did you get the eaton m90 outlet flange? I need to make one and can't find dimensions.

I was thinking that - kind of stinks because the brembo upgrade is aluminum and then have to add on the steel e-brake, but still a cool execution

Aluminium would of course be ideal and really light. I don't have possibility to cut thick aluminium though as we use oxygen as laser cutting gas. Thats why I did them in mild steel. Maybe the evoII calipers are then aluminium... these have to do for now.

Rowleym, I did the Eaton flanges. I can sell you both intake and outlet flanges if you wan't. If you have this same Jaguar(x300) Eaton..?
