If I ever build my dream garage, I may hit you up to be a part-time Kato (Green Lantern).

Suggestion: Paint the area behind pedals black or install some type of backing there. Make 'em pop.

I understand completely Allen, my girlfriend is a beer lover herself. Keep me posted on that garage, if she has her way we will be moving back to SoCal in the near future.

I already planned on coating the floor of the car with black truck bed liner to pretty everything up, so exactly what you suggested will be happening, I'm thinking I will tackle that over a weekend this spring...

I'm printing and laminating the graphics today!!! Excite

Thanks dude! My door panels are actually mint, but I know it's only a matter of time. I figured I could make mine nice and simple since I love functional stuff, and they are WAY more sturdy as a bonus. I will be putting up my door panels for sale, some OEM fetish dude will love them and I can fund another project lol.

Done with the shaping, holes placement done, one more final panel to do. Then just cut holes for window switches and rears will be on.

Beautiful work! You are an inspiration. Event he photography and posting goes beyond the call of duty here. Thanks for sharing. Keep us updated. I would like to see this thread made into a sticky. It is a great reference.

How is that Evans coolant working out for you? I have it in my Dart, but have been afraid to put it in the BMW because the coolant does run a little hotter than regular antifreeze. Supposedly it removes more heat from the engine, so is safer. But aluminum heads being what they are, I have been worried about it getting too hot. My temp gauge needle stays dead center with everything stock, so have been reluctant to mess with a good thing.

    Thanks again. Sam

Wow, massive compliment, I'm blushing over here man. Thank you very much Sam. I absolutely love the Evans waterless coolant. It's already been used in racing for generations, and I have had absolutely zero problems. I switched to it mostly to prevent the sediment buildup I was getting with conventional coolant and water, especially since I upgraded the cooling system with all aluminum parts. The extra benefits are more stable temps, and a non-expanding coolant since it doesn't boil. (NOT advised, but you can actually open the radiator cap with the car at operating temp!!) Really I see no downsides whatsoever and only positives. My needle never ever leaves dead center. I have a feeling if you pull your water pump, you might just be inclined to make the switch.

I do, we mostly do large format printing, signage and vehicle graphics. Obviously that's come in handy on the door panel project. Are you the only shop in Canada? Lol

Hahaha, no, one of a million. Oversized printing on HP latex, Oce Arizona 250GT flatbed and roll to roll and Mimaki transfer with a Monte Antonio fabric press.

Dude, you should of used illustrator and an Oce Zund to cut out the panels :P

Nice dude, how do you guys like the latex and how do prints stand up long term with your weather? We are thinking of retiring our Roland soonish.

I actually enjoyed doing the panels by hand because there were so many changes before I got a final down. I was able to do them a lot faster than I would have taking all the measurements, double checking, etc.

Totally down. It's not the cheapest mod, so if you're serious about doing them, please contact me via private message.
