I am definitely intrigued by these door panels. I would be concerned that they looked a bit too "track-y" for normal use, but I still think they are pretty sweet. If I ever get around to redoing the ugly tan interior on my e36, I could be talked into installing something like this.
Yeah, it's not a mod for everyone... but hey if you've ever lived with stock door cards that are bubbling, broken clips, and coming apart at the seams, it's such a relief just having something simple and solid that WORKS.
Plain black panels look really good in any car, and it's subtle too.
I absolutely love these panels, and would love to have a set. Hmmm...maybe in the next month or so depending on the cost for a set for a sedan.
Wouldn't use these for the m but need somethin for the s13 can u do other cars cheaply?

Aluminum panels can be done on any car that has a mostly flat door frame with no protrusions
Pics from my installs on the CAtuned e10 race car and e30 coupe drift cars... also did a special project for my buddy's 4th gen Camaro.

This is the absolute best representation of how the Sharpie looks in person that I've been able to capture on camera. This is a pretty fresh coat by the way, only the second time I've Sharpied her:

My word. That color is just so amazing.
She was waiting in the rain for me to get off work all day, looking all pretty

Another special project, done by special request. This is a nice, simple sunroof delete panel for Frank LeoGrande's e30 coupe, who is already sporting my door panels.
Usually, I would refer people to S2Rtuning for a fiberglass or carbon fiber delete panel, as they are the nicest fitting and looking formed parts I know of. However, Frank wanted something he could put graphics on BOTH sides of, which can't really be easily done on any of the existing sunroof deletes.
On the exterior side, I overlayed the whole panel with carbon fiber vinyl. On top of that went a printed/UV laminated/Die-cut graphic

On the interior side, I did a printed photo of his grandparents, that's sealed in with a matte laminate. Since the panel will be applied from the top side of the car, the whole panel is oversized by 1" on all edges. The inside print was inset a minimum of 3" from all edges, to prevent any of the graphic being covered up

All of my projects are made by hand, no machines here besides the printer and hand tools. This helps keep costs down, and makes new projects like this much faster to produce.

More incredible work Gregg! I suspect you are going to have requests to produce some more of those.
We'll see. Again, it's really not preferable unless you want graphics on both sides and you need something just a bit cheaper. Because it's not perfectly flush, the S2Rtuning molded sunroof deletes are a far superior choice.
You're very good with these graphics!
Love your car. I couldn't find it anywhere in the thread, but how did you do your gauges? I've never seen that done before, looks really good in the pics.

You are an amazing craftsman. I hope you do this kind of work for a living, your time is wasted elsewhere. You are fucken artist man.
Thanks! The more freedom I have the better they come out.
It's in here... somewhere. - but it's just red Sharpie. I had the cluster open when I was doing the Valentine hidden display, and wanted to see how it looked. Not the best idea, since the cluster does get a bit of sun exposure and it's faded a bit in those areas. Doesn't bother me enough to change it yet, given the car's attitude.
Thanks brother! Haven't seen you around in a while
Oh heeeyyyyyy

Sexy
Your door panels are so badass.
Got the shifter yesterday, and mother of Thor! It's such a nice, simple, beefy piece. Painted the lever black last night, and installing the setup this Sunday if it's not raining hopefully. I cannot WAIT to get rid of this stupid potato masher lever as my buddy Kevin calls it lol.
Fixed my ignition, so nice to be using a key again. The stupid connecting shaft of course snapped in half inside the assembly. Thought some pics of the housing might be helpful to someone.

Also installed the new shifter, (I painted the shaft of the lever Black). I wish I could use expletives here, because honestly it's the only way to describe it... it is just SO f$^%&*@# GOOD!
The only downside is that it's pretty tough to tell what gear you're in visually, but everything else is superb. Very crisp, short throws that click right into place, right near the steering wheel. No more getting stuck between gears, no slop in the middle/neutral. Little Bruce helped me, and seems like he certainly approves also.
