Hi, I just need some help figuring out the replacement part for this
is it 11429059338? m50b20 non vanos. It's on the back of the oil filter housing. I'm gonna sillicone it for now but I'd like to buy the replacement part (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/11429059338/)
Or if anyone has the correct part number, lemme know please.
My friend use the search feature, there are several threads on this topic. Use the instructions below to search only the e36 forum.

My friend I did search and I did see a few threads, but NOBODY has shown a replacement part. Everyone just says epoxy / sillicone it etc, I'm looking for the replacement part!

I had the same situation with my 1997 328I.
Plugs just seeping enough to annoy me.
I did not even remove the housing to get it done.
I brake cleaned the area thoroughly, blow dry as well sand (stuff up) area good with 80 - 100 grit sand paper.
Do both the plugs and area around the plugs and housing.
Cleaned area with acetone, blow dry thoroughly.
Used JP weld, let it dry overnight (this was in the summer) that was 1 1/2 yrs. ago no leaks.
No way am I pay 300 dollars for the "Updated" cover.
Hope this helps solve your issue.
But here is a new complete updated housing if you want it.

Yeah that’s the first thread I actually saw. It doesn't solve my issue. I actually just realised my image didn't upload.
So in my head I’m like how do I get that thing off, I want a replacement part. As I can see in retiredfreebimm's post the part now has like a hex bolt. Thank you, I know what i'll do now!
I realize that I posted the wrong part for your application this was a M52 B28 motor.
But I think you get my point on sealing the leak.
Here's a new plug for your application.

If you copy & paste the part number into RealOEM.com, it will show you the part. Just buy the new part from ECS and drive happy. Why screw around with gluing it? This, glue, is like putting lipstick on a pig, it wastes lipstick and annoys the pig.
1st it's not "glue" it's epoxy, if it was a leak under pressure I'd replace the housing with a new one.
In my case, as with most I've seen it was a few drops a week.
2nd His M20 housing has been long discontinued.
regards
Yeah all the posts I've seen is people silliconing it and epoxying it, that’s why I made this thread.
And I was concerned because the part number I found looks different because my car is an old 1992 m50b20, so I'm hoping this new part fits.
My leak seems to mainly be only when I turn it on, and move it around the garage then park it, it drips.
Yeah JB weld would work great for this. The surfaces would have to be thoroughly degreased and clean. I guess an M52 OFH won't fit your engine?
