BMW CCA O'Fest & Dorkfest 2013 - Dates and locations...

Looks like they might be close in time and geography. I've always wanted to drive Laguna Seca.

Bring Big Ass Mufflers. If you fart too loud it will set off the tree hugger meters. Actually an A-hole neighbor sued the track. Track is only allowed a couple loud days and they are reserved for the Pros.

Wow. I'll have to travel exactly ZERO miles to attend! Love events in my backyard.

If anyone can take the whole month of August off, they can participate in all the motorsports events - like the Pebble Beach Concours...

I'll keep an eye out for the details as they emerge. O'Fest usually coincides with a hang gliding comp I have in September so I have never been able to go.

It would suck to drive the track car out there only for it to be too loud. I would have to drive the Coupe for dorkfest anyway, so the exhaust noise shouldn't be a problem. Next time I land on 28L at MRY, I'll be sure to flip off the neighbors. The final is right over those houses.

We're still negotiating an unlimited sound day (keep fingers crossed)...

O'Fest and Dorkfest all in one week? That would be fantastic! I will start the planning to drive the annual 5,000 km round trip. A Dinan tour would be pretty cool.

For the pros and SCCA amateurs! I've done dozens of weekends at Laguna and never had to run quiet.

Hopefully we're not alone in thinking that joining the O'fest... err... festivities makes makes perfect sense. More details to come.

Yes, kinda like I said in post #3:

Auctions, historic races, the concours, historic TRAFFIC, many exotics, more a-hole owners than you can shake a stick at, but plenty of nice folk, too.
