Then find the spot for your fog light relay and look for the red/white wire this is the wire that comes from the high beams and turn the relay off when high beams are on since it ungrounds the relay. So take this red/white wire and cut it at point leaving enough wire so you can solder it back together if need be. Then look for a solid brown ground wire and tap the red/white wire into the ground wire thus eliminated the high beam turn off of the fogs since the relay is grounded all the time and wont be affected by the high beams. Make sure to cleanly tape off the cut wire and the spliced wires you dont want to leave any open wires in the fuse box.
I JUST did this and did a nice, clear, write-up with pictures. Wasn't sure which red/white wire to tap into ground (coming from fuse or going to it). Ended up frying the wire pretty badly. Anyway, thanks again!

Now is there any way to make my low beams stay on with my key out the car?

It comes in handy on certain occasions.

Does the fact that my bimmer is an eurospec change anything regarding the lights? cuase I can turn on my foglight with low and high beems. Also, I can leave my lights on without the keys, in reply to mjfx328.

Now, what I would really like to do is to have my foglights on everytime the car is on, regardless if its day or night. I this possible?

The nice thing about the E46 compared to the E36 is the LCM (light control module). It means that you can code most of the things requested in this thread. And the things you cannot code, can be fixed by a simple module. (http://www.car-solution.de/en/BMW-3-...id=53&TreeId=2)

I'd suggest looking at the wiring diagram for European E36s. I just check my car and as long as the fog light switch is on and light switch is set to at least park, the fogs will stay on (park, lows and highs).

Just draw the power to the switch from a constant power source so it'll turn on the fogs when ever
