As long as you don't mind waiting 5 weeks while its on a boat from China
I take it that was an eBay purchase? Would you happen to have a link to a listing similar to what you purchased? I have one of the contraptions, but I'm not sure I got the correct one, and I haven't had a chance to use it yet....
Bleeding that slave would be tricky! Good call on a relocate.
finally welded the brackets onto the I/C. I'm going to mount it to the back side of the aluminum bumper with a strip of rubber in between them.
Also got all of the parts to have my driveshaft made. Here is the adapter for the i6 BMW diff flange and ujoint yoke.
Dropped it all off at the driveline shop yesterday and will be picking it up tomorrow.
Where did you order the tubing for your manifolds? Thanks

Got my driveshaft made locally at the same place I had my last one made. 52" u joint to u joint. Was twice the price of my last one, they said "materials went up". I guess I understand, but seems like unreasonable amount of inflation.
Installed it.
I have been concerned with my less than ideal wastegate location. After going back and forth for weeks, I have decided to take a page right out of 5mall5nail5 handbook and go for a "through fender" open dump. I'm not in love with the idea of an open dump, but recirculating it or running a longer pipe from the wastegate will possibly create boost control issues.
Lastly I messed with the exhaust a little bit. Started fabbing up the mid pipe with a flex joint and "catalytic converter".
Tomorrow I am going to finish making the brackets on the backside of the bumper for the I/C. I have a pile of 3" and 4" aluminum tube coming on Tuesday to start piping everything up!

Out of curiosity, why a single piece DS? You're gonna get vibrations at about 100mph
I don't plan on driving 100 mph real often, lol. I considered a few different routes on the driveshaft. I was concerned using a stock BMW 5 series driveshaft with the small ujoints and using a m5 driveshaft would be a problem with the non m diff. Its really about simplicity for me and the ability to handle what I plan to throw at it. I'm planning on first finding the limits of the e39 188mm diff, then planning a 8.8 swap. I know this driveshaft will take pretty much handle whatever, which will hopefully include some hard launching on slicks.

Yea, I plan to add a cross brace right below the cut out section.
Looks good!
What did you driveshaft run you? I was getting pricing for a DS local and I too thought the pricing was ridiculous. They wanted around $500!

Finally got around to putting the I/C mounting brackets into the bumper.
It fits like a glove in the car, which is kind of surprising as I didnt do any test fitting before burning it in, lol.
Do to a "shipping mistake" my giant box of aluminum tube for I/C piping wont be here until next week. =(
And lastly, I have apparently lost my axle and diff mounting bolts. I have torn this place apart for a week looking for them. If I could find that bag-o-bolts, I would have a burnout video by now!
Everything looks great! I need to come back over and see it in person. If I can't use those axle bolts for my M5 combo, you can have mine..
Literally just found them, thank you very much for the offer though!

Looks like I better paint that bumper asap.
Got the tach and CEL functional. Also drove the car under its own power around the parking lot. No burnout vids as I remembered I have Brandon's spare wheels/tires on the car... he may not appreciate that very much, lol.
