Now that's an engine swap. I use to sell Chevy V8 Scarab kits for Datsun 240z- 280Z's, when I worked at Supershops Automotive Performance Centers and at the Speed Merchant in San Jose, California in the 1980's. Out of curiosity have you worked out the DMU/ECU issue's? Are you planing on running the ECU from the Chevy? If so how did you resolve the issue's with the Instrument Cluster using the factory ECU for mileage, etc, or does that not even matter?

Had to take a break from the BMW project for a few weeks. Electric transfer case went out on my truck and the transmission is a joke anyway, so whats the best solution??? 5.0 swap with a manual transfer case. I had the motor and transmission sitting around, so I bought a transfer case and some driveshafts from the junk yard. Also made a set of headers for it. Hope to have it running this weekend. Then, back to the BMW.

Where are the turbo flanges??
Finally got the truck all squared away, back on the car!
Got the software and cables needed to make some "adjustments" on the car.
Also ordered Stainless header flanges and a some stainless tube/bends to start the turbo manifolds.
Great news on the software and cables arriving, Clay. My car is still intact if you want to hook it up this weekend to see what's what. Let's go to the gun show too
How are you going about the clutch peddle, and electronics?
Nice work!

THOSE ain't gonna warp. What size primaries?
Got a box this afternoon
My roll of stainless mig wire to tack with was "miss shipped" by USPS. Talking to them about it is a joke, will be a miracle if it will ever make it. I'm really looking forward to starting on these this weekend, will be real unhappy if the wire doesnt show up.

looks great. i'm also relatively in the dark about the wiring like you are, but will be using James' "head diagram" to make progress.
Love the exhaust fab, keep it coming. Where’d you source the materials?

Go to an Air Gas supply shop near you. They carry all sorts of welding equipment and supplies.

What the hell, do you want me to come over and do it for you too? </sarcasm>
X6002 #23 is the trigger wire from the DME to turn on the DME relay.

This is almost the only pinout you need. The larger simpler looking connector has some good wires also. I think your key+ voltages are in that one.
So what you guys are telling me is that I need to come up with a plug-n-play wire harness. Except... this thing is almost plug-n-play.
Here's a site that tells you how to stand-alone LSx harness out of a gm harness. http://lt1swap.com/2000harness.htm
As always, there's more than one way to do it....
