I will also be joining Clay on this journey as I sold my turbo E34 to build an LS3 powered E39 touring. Clay and I live only miles from eachother so get ready for some fun with a double E39 LSx build thread
Is that a 4l60e is it out of a car or truck? I ha a truck 60e and had to install a selector shaft from a car and the. Welded the BMW teams shifter bracket to the gm tab.. I can get the center to center measurement if you need it.. With my old style shifter it has access to all gears even 1st .

Teaser =)
The supercharger staying? Will it fit under the hood?
What supercharger is that?
Supercharger is off now. It will not fit under the hood with the engine in its current location. If the motor was pushed back a couple inches it would likely clear. The plan was for it to come off anyway as I am going with a single turbo setup.
The blower is a Eaton m112 off of a ford lightning with custom made everything to make it work on an LS motor and fit under the stock e36 hood.

For those using Jesus Freaks mounts with a t56, the GTO shifter is a good fit. F body shifter is about 3 inches too far forward. There is still some "massaging" needed, but its almost perfectly centered in the stock shifter hole.
Some pix from the test fit in Clay's car today.
It is. The F body shifter was about 2.5" from the front edge of the stock shifter hole towards the front of the car.
Thanks for the pics!
Here are a couple after the blower removal
Also doubles as a great mini lift
What oil pan do you guys have on there? Looks like it fits nice.
F body, it fits not so nice. At first glance it's good, but it is just barely resting on the rack in one spot. I will need to notch the pan to clear it.
