It came out of Lance Noell's 323i. He pulled it to swap in a M20B25. The tranny came from his car too.
Although, now that I know this car has a Super ETA and 5spd, I might have to do a little more thinking.
Brainstorm anyone?

You can keep the super ETA for more torque and power if you're not a purist. For still more, you can swap an M20B25 cam, injection and computer. This is what my car will have when I swap the engine.
The only drawback of keeping the E30 5 speed is that your speedometer will not work. My car's transmission was swapped for an E30 one sometime before I became its owner.

Yup. But, I think I'm just going to sell it off to help fund the restoration. The 2.3l and 4 speed will still be a hoot to drive. I'll save the any modding under the hood for much later down the road. There's a lot of repairing to do to this old girl. And that paint and body bill is going to hurt a little.

Adam,
Hope you can get it looking like this..nevermind the long hair youngster in the background.
This picture is from 1981 and the Baur was NEW.

Holy shit Jeff! You hip son of a bitch! I need a set of those wheels.
The car is now at the shop.
I think I might drum up the brains of the PNWBB'ers and finish off this Super ETA swap and use the 2.3 head.
Where are the stroker fans out there? Chime in with your thoughts.

Damn those wheels are a pretty penny.

My federalization plate looks much different than that one....It looks like even the ID plates weren't standard in the 80s lol....
Good luck with the restore.
The Frozen Baur (AKA The Frozen Ground) now on Netflix (John Cussack is driving the Omega behind the Baur)
