Thank you for the offer. Seth (Triple Black Baur owner) fronted me the money for the day. It's funny how bad the money timing was. My E30 vert is pending sale to a lady that's waiting for her credit union to issue the certified check and my payday is Friday. Normally I have bit of a nest egg, but I've been buying stuff for my daughter that's due to be born on the 22nd.
But, it's handled. I now have the keys, title and bill of sale for the car, with a tow truck scheduled to pick it up in the morning.
And here's my second E21:

Thanks! I have a feeling things are going to get pretty rough here soon. But, it'll all be worth it in the end.
Wish me luck!
She's getting hauled over to a friend's shop to have a m20b23 dropped back in her. Hope to get her road worthy in the next month. Then comes the long haul on the body, paint and interior. Eek!

Nice! I was watching this unfold. I look forward to future updates on this car. Wish it was mine.

Thank you. So ummm, what parts are specific? And where can a guy get some Baur-specific parts? I have to say that I'm completely humbled by how lucky I was to find this. Now to get busy doing something to it.
I don't know if I've devuldged this to the E21 crowd. But, I was an Army Combat Correspondent for 3 years at the end of my 14 years in. So, I like reporting the things I do and see. Today I was looking up all I could about the Baur, TC1 the history of the Baur company, etc. You know, the stuff you do when you get a new car, you research the shit out of it.
I got looking at the title. It's signed over 10 years ago. Nobody has registered this thing in a decade. Silly specialty cars. The address it was last registered is on Capitolito Way, St. Luis Obispo.
It seems this place, at least for the last decade has specialized in specialty BMWs. Anyone know more about the place?
I answered my own question. It's the location of a shop called 2002 Haus.

I'll be 37 next month. And I surely have my pissy moments. Just find that wheel advice thread from a couple months ago.... I got a little out of sorts about cheap knock off wheels. Oh internets!

I just got an email from one of the previous owners, the owner of 2002 Haus.
And, I've officially taken possession of the car. If you look closely, you'll see the M20B23 in the bed of the truck. The car is going straight to the shop to have it installed.Originally Posted by Rob Torres Jr.

Nice work! I suspected that some of that drive train had ended up in an '02! Info like that is great to have, IMHO. Where did you get that 2.3L engine?
Off to a nice start!
