    Renting towing equipment?

    Howdy all,
Some of you may remember my +600,000 mile E36...well she's been sitting for a year and a half in my yard under a cover and I've decided to start up that project again. Problem is, the car is up in NH, and I live in VA/MD. I don't want to risk driving it because of the plethora of things that could go wrong and not having enough leave time on the books to do the repair work up there nor enough disposable income to have a towing company truck it down.

So my question is this: Is there another alternative than getting a 16' UHaul truck with a trailer?

    Best Regards,
    Fred

You mean, besides the sponsor of this forum?

Have you considered Amtrak's car-train service?
Not so much a signature as a cry for help.

Hold on, saw this in a cartoon once...think I can pull it off.

I figured they would be expensive, but I just sent a quote request. I would do the auto-rack but they require the car to move under its own power.

Ugh, auto shipping. Get ready for shady people to reply to the price and surprise fees.

Tow it, you can probably find something better than a box truck though to do it.
