The way I worded my message it does sound like I am waiting but I am not I already have made the move to get it done.....I even copied the threads on paper so I can re-read when away from the computor....I am thinking of just going with the ZF tranny fluid...I have a 01 740iL ...this was info I was looking for came at the right time....

lol no. It's through this thread where I can get more more information to add or make a few adjustments. For example, because of Alpine 7even's post, I decided to add the link to RP, and you brought up the Kendall ATF as well. As long as this thread stays on topic, there's no reason to lock it. I want it to keep going. And if it's locked, no one can ask questions regarding the thread, nor can it be bumped.

oh yeh. I think I might give this fluid a try its really cheap and it seems to be really great fluid and durable, it's got a high viscosity rating on it.

The only thing I think that be added are rebuild threads now. I probably won't be touch the fluid section for a while.

How about links to threads that modify the basic tranny to a steptronic version. About a month ago a guy said he was going to post a DIY on modding a pre facelift car to steptronic with the wiring changes. Have not seen anything yet, unless I missed something. I'm thinking of going in that direction.
