E34 battery indicator light on ignition off

I have an 89 e34 it has several issues first of which is the battery ind light will not go out until the battery is disconnected. The main relay chatters when the engine in shut off and the evaporative purge valve is chattering on and closed. If anyone has any ideas on where to go with this I would appreciate it thanks.

Check the hatch for cracked wiring along the hinge, probably causing a short and makes those horrible problems.
