Got the ProVent200 installed, thanks to 93FIM5
Modified the provent bracket a bit, relocated the power steering pump reservoir and shortened PS hoses. Ran the 3/4" intlet, into a 3/4" to 1" silicone adapter elbow.
Then a 1" elbow into 1" vibrant hose into the intake.
The silicone adapter elbows, and the aluminum hose joiners were bought from Pegasus, really nice quality parts.
The bottom of the provent has a hose leading to a sealed catch can under drivers headlight.
Got the car on the dyno, and the vent setup worked really well. The oil filled up the can really quick, while nothing went into the intake. But that also means I need to change the source of the crankcase to vent. So I'll be sealing the current source and going to the top of the drivers valve cover to get a cleaner crankcase source with less oil.

And then onto the dyno.
It made 316WHP at 6psi, and 386WHP 391WTQ at 9.5-10psi, very conservative timing. AFR at around 11.5 to be on the safe end of pump 92.
Need to remember that this is a very low reading dyno dynamics. 386WHP here is around 430WHP on a dynojet, and 500HP crank.
I would need to install some higher psi springs if I want to raise the boost any higher on pump. On race I can set it a little higher before maxing out the boost solenoid on current 5psi springs and throw some timing at it, should be possible to hit 450whp current setup with good fuel.
Currently at 76% duty cycle of the boost solenoid to hit 10psi on 5psi springs. I will keep it like this for now, and see if boost by gear is needed with my drag radials in 1st and 2nd, if it holds all 10psi down low, then I can throw some 10psi springs and turn up the boost later on once all the little bugs are worked out.
Injector duty cycle is only at 40%, so tons of room there.

What frequency are you running the solenoid? On a 8psi spring, i got an easy 21 pounds.
Possible boost leak?
Do you make 5psi with the solenoid off? where is your source for the solenoid?

Not sure on frequency, would have to check. MaxxECU has preset settings for the MAC solenoid.
I'm at about 4.5psi on 0 duty cycle.
It also matters on how you have the wastegates plumbed, I can re-plumb it and use the top ports to run a little more boost.
Current setup is compressor housing to solenoid inlet, solenoid outlet into a tee, tee outputs to each bottom port of waste gates.
I'll do a boost pressure leak check when I'm re-configuring the oil scavenging/separator.
I found some really cool fitting that I can use on these magnesium valve covers without having to weld on the bungs.
-12AN vented/baffled fittings with no welding required.

I even bought a few more of these fittings to run on my SL65 AMG, as that factory PCV system is a POS. I'll be blocking off the factory PCV system on that car completely, then use a speedfactory low profile catch can with a -12an breather hose from each valve cover. Should work much better than stock.

How did this turbo project turn out? Any words of wisdom for another E34 540i turbo project? Vollosso is putting together a turbo system for my 540i to replace my Vortech based S/C system.

I edited my response because after re-reading it and many others, my humor is sorely lacking when written rather than talking face to face. And yes, I can be a "crank" at times and I apologize for that. I changed my username because I could not log in a few years back and was told to just start over, so I did. And I did not add the e to Porsche because there was not enough room to also then add 911. And in truth I have a 997. Also, you do have some sweet cars. I have always entertained the idea of turboing my 540i, and now decided to try it after talking with a member here on BFC who seems to know his way around turbos.
