Is 7200 safe for the 2.8
i can't PM you for some reason, would you mind emailing me at itsalexanderrr@gmail.com?
Is it tuned for an m50 manifold?
Just curious but anybody comment on mpg? Plan on dropping this into m52 powered 528i. I did have m3 cams installed but got sick of the tick tick tick from vanos stuck code. Attempted to retune at least 10 times to no avail.
Thanks!!
Do you have an ecu for a 2002 bmw 330xi?
Hello, I want to order one for my s52.

Would you be willing to ship to Hawaii in a flat rate box, should fit in medium size. About $15 which I would be more than willing to pay. For a 97 328i MS41.1

and another....
Pm'ed . I'm in a jam and need an unlocked ECU that I can drop into my 99 M3 ASAP. Let me know! Will paypal.
You don't need a tune for an M50 manifold on its own. It'll run a LITTLE lean up at the top end but not enough to warrant the tune. If you go intake and injectors, I'd get a tune. You can just use a shark injector for that, though.

Installed an unlocked DME from hackentt a few days ago. Originally, I only purchased it to have an unlocked ECU on hand by which I could send away my stock ECU to VF. No problems with EWS. However, I have to also add that whatever was done to the ECU has made my E36 that much better. The throttle response is a little smoother, it idles better, etc.
Can't recommend it enough. Well worth the price!
EDIT: Well, almost. See new post below.
Coming out..
Going in...

Just wanted to update my last post that after two days of driving, the ECU is randomly going into self-test during operation, which causes the engine to stall. The code it's throwing is DME self test error. This makes sense, as the engine is stalling totally independent of any conditions.
So this is a caveat to any owners looking to do this swap. I can't drive my car as a result of it being extremely unsafe given how random it is. It can run for hours and sometimes only five minutes. Currently working with hackentt to figure out what can be done. Despite the fact it was running great, it appears to have some issues that need to be ironed out. Might have got unlucky on this one, and just have a weird one-off. Will update here as soon as I find out more!

Awaiting update, as i too have a DME from this forum member, but have yet to install it in my car.
Pulled the ECU.. it was suggested that I check a chip that may be prone to loose pins (28F200). It wasn't packed all that well so it's possible it got bumped around a bit in shipping. Either way, the pins looked ok, visually, and I definitely am not going to be able to solder them to the level where I can definitively say it isn't the chip and not the solder job, So I swabbed some dirty pins that had what might've been leftover flux and tossed it back in. So far so good. But that doesn't say much. I'm going for a long drive tomorrow to say for sure.

Anyone else has problems with this ecu? Kind of hesitant to pull the trigger now..
