I know what you mean. I, like most, thought about the M-bumpers, but have grown to love the simplicity of the non-M stuff. I restored/painted all the trim/grilles and did the plate filler to clean it up a bit. Next I'd really like to find a nice lip for the front.
Heading to get them mounted in about an hour.
Thanks! I too love all the details on these wheels. Made restoring more work, but finished product is worth it. Not sure I follow on the bolt holes? It's painted inside the bolt holes how it was originally. The casting is rough in there, so no way I was going to polish them.
Going over to Vintage on Enclave show tonight. Called Tony and asked him to drop you a line, maybe we can meet there.

Still need to figure out spacers in the rear, but otherwise really liking them.
17x10" ET15 front; ET30 rear. 214/40 tires.
Ahhhhh Absolutely wonderful!
215/40 on 10"
Is that safe?... I'd love to shoot your car, I'll PM you my number in case you're interested.

WHOOOOOO!!!!!!
Yeah, definitely in the "safe" range with the 215s. The Federals run large, so it's making solid contact on the bead and is probably closer to a lot of 225s.
This set is just for looks lol. I've already driven a little "spirited" on this setup and it did fine, but I'll eventually pick up some wide 16"s for track time.
Thanks! Maybe this will be a little easier to spot in Bellaire. Our monthly meet is this Friday at Southwells @ I10/Taylor.
Thanks!
Love it!!!
You're rustling my jimmies.
Cut, fit and tacked the roll bar in. Went a lot smoother than expected. Plan on welding and prepping it for paint this week.
HUGE thanks to my friends Clay and Shaun!
Even though it's not fully welded, I can already tell a difference in the chassis. Much more solid and it eliminated some flex/shimmy that would shake the soft top.
Nice car, I really dig the details on the wheels.
Just wondering if there are any benefits of welding in the cross brace away from the main hoops center radius.

Hi5 good work

I actually liked the 32's on there more, but still nice work on the refinish, takes some serious skill. Also love that you left the non m front bumper, actually looks really good there.
None
Nice! Cage looks fresh, time for a hardtop!

fresh, also diggin the gotti's.
Thanks, guys! Going to pick up some welding gas now, so that we can finish it up. Really liking the way it looks in the car and can't wait for it all to be painted.
Not sure I'd ever use a hardtop, as I have the top down much of the time. Only benefit I could see would be helping the car stay cooler when using the ac. Even then, I wouldn't want to remove it to drive it top down at night.
Thanks. All the details are what makes the wheels IMO. I'm not sure what you're asking about the cross brace placement.
I love slammed verts and yours looks like a seriously fun car!
sickkk
Both look great as does your car I really liked the original set of wheels. Just my opinion.
It's a hell of a lot more fun than when I got it, but still has a ways to go. I have a few more chassis upgrades/maintenance to do, then I plan on saving for a 5.0 SBF swap.
That's cool. You're not the only one, as a lot of people preferred them. I've always loved Gotti wheels, so when a top-model, cheap and aggressive fit set came up local, I had to jump on it.
