it's great! from what I had read, thought it would be much more of an issue. during normal driving, it is not much different. parking lots are a little more work, but being able to get it sideways with hard gas in 1st or a clutch kick in 2nd is more than worth it!

You've got to love the sound of scrubbing your tires every time you park! I drove with a locked diff for a few weeks and couldn't stand it. The car drove straight though.

Just updating this with some new pics:

Couple from a while back shot by the awesome DTek

The only update is the 16x8 OZ Monte Carlos my wife got me for xmas. Plan is to use these as drift wheels.

    Test fit:

Picked up a couple of 205/50/16s with decent tread for $40. Still looking for another pair:

Found a car running exact same specs 16x8et15 with similar wheel:

Nice, I'm interested in seeing a car part with a welded diff, on a side note I'm running 16x8 et11 here just fine, just requires a lil more lowering to pull it off

haven't updated this thread in a while, but made a few upgrades to the car to get it ready for my second attempt at drift.

wife convinced me to go bright on the OZs and really glad I did!

Installed a CNC 412 handbrake. Since this pic, I've ran the lines and primered the bracket white to look a little better

Pretty stoked on how the drift event went! The promoter was amazing and did about 5 hours of classroom instruction the day before the event, so I had the info, just needed to put it to practice.

Started out on the small beginner course (all I did at my first event in Nov.) and couldn't get anything going. Frustrated, I went to the main course to try it out. On the second pass, I was drifting most of the 2nd big corner and having a blast! I could only get the first main corner decent every few times (either spin or understeer on other passes), but felt like I had good control and angle on second corner all day.

Easily the most fun I've had in a car! Huge thanks to Aaron Losey and everyone else at Lone Star Drift for putting on an awesome event and class! Also, enjoyed hanging out and giving my friends and wife rides, so thanks to them for coming out!

Here's what the car looked like just before the event.

Here's what it looked like during the event:

And here's video of probably my best two passes:

What's your suspension? You will need spacer in front cause 10et30 will hit the strut of your suspension.
Phil do you think I can run a 17x10 +25 In the front and clear the strut? or is that too close?
