Bryan O'Neil Hughes is a photographer, a car buff, and the senior product manager for Photoshop. In Photo Workshop: Car Photography Tips, these passions combine at a workshop hosted by lynda.com and Adobe Systems.
In the first portion of the course, Bryan photographs a carefully lit Mercedes SLS AMG and shares tips for photographing cars. He shows how to evaluate the lines of the vehicle and compose shots for the greatest dramatic effect. Along the way, he employs a variety of lenses and shooting techniques, from macro to high dynamic range.
Next, Bryan guides the workshop's attendees through his Lightroom and Photoshop workflow. He shares insider tips on how to take advantage of the features in Photoshop CS6, such as the revamped Crop tool, the Iris Blur and Tilt-Shift filters, the Content-Aware Move tool, and video editing tools.
Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by hundreds of engineers that get paid thousands of dollars for something you bought at Pep Boys because your buddy who doesn't have a job told you it was 'better'?!?

Good info for quite nice photoshoot.
Lightroom is just short for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom. They do the same things in slightly different ways; Lightroom is for managing big heaps of pictures, photoshop is for small batches or individual pictures. I don't really have a big problem sorting through my pics so I still use photoshop.
Yes! just watched through them all.

Hey thanks for sharing your tips! Liked the lightroom concept!
Thanks for the info!
cool!
yes we can also model a car in MAYA 3d? if i m not wrong.
Don't necessarily agree with his stance on shooting cars on location... This video is useful if you have access to a studio with enough room to park a car and a $20k lightbank to light it with...
great share! Thanks
