WTB 2001/00 750iL in/near NY

I'm looking for a 2001 or 2000 750iL, preferably in the Northeast (I live on Long Island). Must be cosmos-black or black on black leather. I prefer mileage to be under 160,000. Needs to be in excellent condition; well maintained.

I have my 2000 750iL I'm thinking of selling. I'm not near you however, so I don't n ow if you're interested. The mileage is at 175k, but the interior is perfect and the engine is solid. I'll send you some pics if you want to see it. Black on black with staggered m-pars and clear corners. Let me know.

It has a new alternator and it needs a an ABS module rebuild, which is happening next week. The front end has been replaced (bushings and arms) about 1000 miles ago. Tires are in good shape too. Mechanically all that needs to happen are the typical services, oil, transmission flush. Interior wise, the upholders still work and so does the glovebox and quarter shades. The tape deck does not however. It also has the euro armrest with the chrome line interior package.

At this point I was looking to get about $8500 for it given that it's in great shape. Here are some pics...

If you weren't so far away, I'd def come to take a took at it. Awesome looking car. Hey couple of questions: what is the "interior chrome line" package? And what is so different about the euro armrest?

The chrome line is the factory bits of chrome on the shifter and arm rest buttons. The euro arm rest has no phone in the center. Just a single compartment to store stuff.

There arnt many of these cars, esp Black 750iL after 1999, you might have o travel, i am leaving in about 4 hours to travel 8 hours then import mine back to Canada from USA...

Getting service history is also very hard as most will have gone through auction so theres no paperwork with it, you would be best to find one that was BMW Finance as they tend to want all service done to the car by a BMW dealer.

However most are finance for 5 years so if the first owner was 2-3 years then financed then you are looking at 8 year old max (2008) so you have to hope the same second owner still had it as they wanted to keep the car longer.

In the meantime, I'll consider buying someone's 740iL until the right 750iL comes along. Must be black/black - heated front/rear seats, Mpars, and shades are preferred.

a black on tan came up near me, for a very good price with only 160k+ miles. The only problem - it's tan. How difficult would it be in swapping to black? I know finding the right leather upholstery is challenge itself, but what about the actual swap?

If the car looks solid, I would get it. Who knows you might end up liking the tan (my first 750 had tan and it really grew on me.)

I think the easiest way to "swap" the interior colors would be to literally swap black parts in for the tan, as opposed to having a shop re-cover everything. Black interior bits seem to come up often on here and eBay.

Saw this today. Its far, but may be worth the drive. I just bought my 740i in Cali and drove home. Great ride home and much better than buying a car that has been snow and salt driven.

Great find and thanks for the heads up. was holding out for a 2000 or 2001. The only way I'd drive across the whole country is if the car was in true impeccable shape, was cosmos black on black with the inlay trim and was asking a great price. Otherwise, trying to stick to the east coast / northeast.

PS I had an appt to see the 01 750iL for sale in Newport News /Norfolk VA today. Too bad for the shady dealer who didn't confirm the appt b/c I had a wad of cash in pocket ready to go. I'm a motivated buyer.

My only concern with this is its a CA model, lacks some power due to emissions control in place on the car...

Also looks like the pic of the dash was adjusted to not show any errors on the MID read out (from what i see)

Its pre facelift as well (older lights, old buttons below the HVAC, wont be easy to add some of the electronic toys you might like).

bump. all the ones i keep finding either have a beige or grey interior, are wayy overpriced, or are sold by a dealer who has a questionable/shady history (which simple google searches and research have dug up).

you do have to be fast, i wouldnt look at Florida, all the wierd ones ended up there (was offered at 16k, then dropped over 4 weeks to sell on eBay at 5k), all had stuff like near gearboxes etc.... there really hard to come by.
