Leather seats restoration - cleaning and staining??

    Hi everyone!

I'm looking for some DIY ideas and solutions for repairing and staining the seats on my car... There are no rips or tears, just normal 12 year old car use.

The rear seats are not that bad but the front ones have some color fading and such, especially the driver side as is to be expected. I've seen some YouTube videos of people cleaning and staining them, but mostly companies trying to sell their services...

Anyone here ever try to clean, stain and restore their leather seats?

My seats are the bmw grey/silver color.

Any ideas where I can buy the matching stain for it?

Does it also stain the leather?

Leatherique has cleaning, conditioning, and leather dye products. You can even completely change the color of the leather with their dye. Do some Google searching and you will be amazed at the results thaT can be achieved with their products, and a little skill and patience.

I would use leatherique for cleaning it... maybe their crack filler if you need to fill in cracks.

but Im really like the results of colorbond as far as putting color back in the seats.... its cheaper than the leatherique dye
