Full service/owner history and PPI. M62 engine (pre '04) is much easier to work on with fewer thing to fail (like intermittent shaft levers, brake assist vacuum pump, transfer case actuator and so on) then the N62 engine ('04 on). Valley pan gasket job on the M62 takes about half the time as the same repair on the N62 (DIY will have you hating the Valvetronic system), shop rate X hrs will drain your wallet quicker with the N62. I went with one of the last M62 Xs for these reasons.
