I'm about to order parts to refresh my rear subframe including the IE RSFB.
Is there a way to determine if I have eccentric RTAB bushings or normal before I take things apart?
Thanks
To the best of my limited knowledge, on a 2000 M Roadster, if they are original/stock bushings they are normal and there is no adjustment. There are however aftermarket adjustable plates you can weld on when you are replacing (one option http://www.bimmerworld.com/About-Us/...-Z3-318ti.html). So if you see these plates, you know, and they use a standard type bushing. Check this out for a load of options ans information (http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/sh...ked-Questions))
There are eccentric bushings to correct alignment issues:

And there are normal straight bushings:

Is there a way to tell which ones I have without disassembly?
In a word, NO. In the past 15-16 years, ANYBODY could've done ANYTHING to your car, so how can WE predict what YOU'LL find?
My money says you have the standard, non-eccentric bushes fitted to your rear trailing arms. I've replaced those bushes on A LOT of Z3/Ms (20, 30, ?? cars) and I have yet to come across a pair of eccentric bushes, from OE or aftermarket suppliers, on any of those cars.
thank you sir!
