Hi!
I have a transmission problem with my 740i. Transmission shifts only at high rpm, no matter I almost not touching the pedal. What is it, TPS? Diagnostics show nothing.

What diagnostics are you running? I'd find it hard to believe that none of the computers has anything to say about such behavior.
Year of car would be nice.
I'd read codes with a BMW professional diag system from all computers, smoke test the intake system, change trans fluid and filter, test the exhaust backpressure if the car is slow at high rpms, and watch live data for TPS, trans, etc

GT1+DIS, 1994. Car is not slow, runs perfect at high rpm.
My 2000 740i sport will shift at 3000rpm and 4000rpm at times...usually when warm. Maddening, 50% of the time, other half performs flawless?? Any ideas appreciated
Do you have a "Sport/Manual/Normal" switch on the console? What are the letters on , or next to, that switch?

This is almost always heat related on your car. Fluid/filter change and/or flushing the transmission cooler have fixed the cases that I've seen.
