Bought this beautiful M3 a few months ago with the intentions to create a fun weekend/track car. My daily driver is a 335i, so the NA M3 is a nice change up. I will be documenting everything I do along the way. I have completed a good bit, but there is still some work left to be done. I plan on "completing" car within the next 2-3 weeks. Suggestions are welcome!
Current mod list (parts shown in pictures are obviously not yet installed):
active autowerke exhaust
conforti intake with heat shield (bought new filter as shown in pictures)
conforti software
euro MAF
all new cooling system (aluminum radiator/bimmerworld hoses/ect.)
ground control full coilovers with koni yellow adjustable shocks
ground control camber plates
Sparco Evo 2's
Schroth 6-point harnesses (red)
MKAH Motorsports floor pans
Bimmerworld trans mounts
Rogue SSK
OMP targa wheel
OMP E36 hub
OMP quick disconnect
Custom 4-point roll bar
Kosei K1's
Custom adjustable front splitter
Here is what I have done so far:
And the removal of the interior begins...
Added a nice large filter to replace the previous one due to deterioration.
First mods to arrive: Sparco Evo 2's (2012), MKAH Motorsports floor pans, Rogue SSK, Bimmerworld trans mounts, OMP targa wheel, hub, and quick disconnect
My dad and I then continued to strip out and clean up the interior.
Using this heat gun made the job much easier
We used Contractors Solvent to remove the adhesive left by the sound deadening, it worked very well.

Hub installed
Comparison of the stock wheel vs the new OMP targa wheel:
Decided to use wire loom to clean up the interior a little more. I think I will look great once its all done.
We decided to make door panels, a panel to cover where the radio covers, and a panel to separate the trunk from the cabin
Finally got my schroth 6-point harnesses from Bimmerworld!
We then obtained a good bit of .040" Aluminum sheet metal to complete the panels
Thats it for now, but there is a lot more to come next week! I should get the roll bar in next week, but it will take another week to get powdercoated (red) and my panels also need to be powdercoated (black). I will be sure to post more pictures right when I complete some more work.

Definitely keeping an eye on that, and going to buy some lottery scratch-offs. So I can do something similar to my 95' M3! HAVE FUN!!!
Looking good. Can't wait to see more updates.
Test fitting the floor pans, finally got most of the wire loom on
Making the panel to separate the trunk from the cabin (will be powder coated black)
OMP wheel installed
Here is a quick shot of my OMP quick disconnect, I think I will really enjoy this
My roll bar, made by a fellow BF.C poster, arrived today! I am very impressed with the quality of the bar, I cant wait to install it!
Here is another shot of the bar along with the powder I have chosen to coat it with (bag skews the hue a bit)
Here is the trunk panel my dad and I made. All panels will be powder coated flat black.
Making the door panel.
Door panel cut out. We need to make a few adjustments as the window motor is causing it to bulge, but we will figure it out tomorrow. I think the design will look really nice once power coated.

We have similar interests also I see, E90 for Daily, and E36 for tracks and weekends! Please keep us updated with the progression!!
you should make and sell the trunk block off panel i dont think any of the sites sell them.

It was a pretty busy day today, I completed a good bit of work. I can't wait for all the pieces to be powder coated so I can install them and drive it!
Decided to take the sunroof track and panel out as I just purchased a carbon fiber replacement panel.
What was taken out:
We decided to test fit the roll bar before it gets powder coated so that we could ensure the fitment was correct and drill the holes.
It looks great, I can not wait to get it back and install it for good!
Up next was installing the floor pans.
We used JB weld to seal up the space around the screws.
Drivers side pan finished
This was my stopping point today. I feel that we are making good progress, everything should start coming together pretty quickly once the power coating in complete!

That rollbar is sick. So is the trunk plate. And I approve of the powdercoat color
wow... lookn great so far
We completed a lot of work today and stopped at a good point. For anyone who has not followed the thread, all aluminum panels (besides the floor pans) will be painted matte black.
E36 M3 MKAH Motorsports floor pans are now installed!
Beginning to drill the holes for the door panels
Door panel installed; still have to cut a hole for the door handle.
We decided that the original panel we made was too thin. Using the same metal as we used for the door panels, trunk panel, and glove box panel, we created a new center panel. Old vs. New.
Center panel installed
This panel came out perfect! I am very happy with the final product.
Center panel test fitting with switches
Here is todays stopping point. We have a decent amount of work left to do, but its coming along quickly now.

I can't wait to see where this goes, keep up the good work! I hope to have my car looking like this in the near future.
Great work so far! Which quick disconnect is that?
