    I need new coils...

    My coils are buggered up. I need new ones.
    i got crazy quote of 1800 bucks to replace them from the dealer..i said thnks..
    where would be the best place to get these coils?
    i've checked bimmerparts & pelican parts.
    bimmer parts has both Bremi & bosch for around 50 bucks & pelican parts are around 30 bucks..but i don't know what brand they are..
    what's the best brand to go for?

    What year is your car?

    Or to be more direct do you have an obd1 car or obd2 car?

    Are you OBD-II or OBD-I? I can sell my OBD-II ones if u need them as I thought I need them but I dont.

    I too have obd2's for sale too.

    If there were only a v12 that needed obd2 coils.

    oopss sorry its a 1992 325i...so i think its obd1..

    Yup, you need obd1.

    Buy Bosch, and install them yourself, it's really easy. Once you can do that you can change your own sparkplugs too.

    If you don't already have one, buy a Bentley repair manual.

    Coils are the kind of things that are just fun to take out for the helluvit. 1800 dollars... christ... find that guy and cut him.
