I can't answer that question like some of these other guys can pertaining to performance gains. But just from my experience with my supersprint one I love it and it sounds great. That's my opinion and I would definitely say check them out.
Diamantschwarz Metallic Paint - SSR GT3's - KW V1's - full Supersprint exhaust - aFe intake - Active Autowerke short shifter - AA knob - RallyRoad
boots - CSL style carbon bootlid - Oem euro corners, sides, and taillights - Motion Motorsports underpanel - MM adjustable lip - x-brace - Sparco
tower strut brace - More to come.

    Which exhaust is best?
Short answer: Stromung or UUC. Just shut up and buy one

Long answer: there's no "best exhaust". Every E36 exhaust looks and sounds different. There's not a huge performance gain to be had, less than 10hp over a stock E36 M3 muffler, and all the GOOD aftermarket systems perform about the same. If someone claims that exhaust brand X made 25hp they are lying. So what exhaust choice comes down to is how it looks and how it sounds. Some people like DTM tips, others hate them. Some people like loud exhaust, others hate them. I'd recommend finding someone in your area that has the exhaust you're interested in so you can see it and, more importantly, hear it in person. Just because a bunch other guys bought brand X doesn't mean that you're going to like it.

+1 for eisenmann, with uuc/stromung/supersprint as close seconds

How much are you looking to spend?

what is your definition of "best"????? Dinan is the best IMO. I have it on both Ms, it sounds like sex at WOT, yet very tame under normal driving. if you have bluetooth and you talk on the phone a lot which I do for business there is no drone. there is no drone while cruising at any speed, no vibrations and it sounds great. I have had nothing negative to say abotu them ever. its not the loudest, and its not a race exhaust, if that is what you are looking for Id look at one of the others mentioned above

    Is cat back fine?

After listening to some exhaust..... the one i like the most is......... (crazy tense music playing in the background) is Supersprint! I like the sound alot

I found a full supersprint exhaust system. Headers resonator catalatic convertor and muffler for $1200 online. Is that a goos price?

i had both dinan and stromung, dinan sounded good, but just a little louder than stock, and stromung is bit loader than the Dinan. IMO both are very quiet exhaust. but for the price of stromung, you cant beat it

Because it's the one I have. Might be too loud for you though.
