Prepping car for respray, What should be done?

I got a hookup on a getting full factory color respray for my car. I plan on pulling all the trim and whatnot. I was just wondering what everyone has pulled or done that makes it easier/better to paint the car.

    Just 1 E38, for now
The more trim removed the merrier.

I thought you were planning on selling your car?
Either way your car is an awesome color and should have a nice coat of paint.

Should the tail lights and head lights be removed?

if you want a very detailed job, pull EVERYTHING off that can be taken off. if you dont want to do that, make sure there is an awesome masking job done.

The car is for sale, but I have a price that I won't settle for any less than. So far I have had a lot of lookers, but nobody with a fat stack of hundreds to make me sign the title over. Matter of fact the paint job is going to up the price even more .

What other color would I paint it? It's just getting a respray to make it look like new. The mechanicals are almost finished, just one or two loose ends to tie up, the interior is clean so that just leaves the bodywork. The cost of the paintjob is too good to pass up so I'm jumping on it while I can. It's only going to increase the value and appeal of the car. I think with a fresh paint job, the stack of receipts I have for the car and what I've done to it I will sell it for what I want and in short order. If I don't, I will one of the nicest E38's in my area.

I take the whole car apart for paint prep. Mirrors, doors, trunk, hood, lights, trims, logos... Its the only way a professional job can be done
