Folks- First let me say this- If it's the car I think it is.. This car IS for real. Stage3 meticulously maintained, full records. The motors in stage 3 are stroked and other goodies. My memory is old but do some research on what a stage 3 involves and you will understand a Dinan S3 specs. They are real, if not conservative. Asking price- cheap for what this car demands.
Seriously- do some homework- this is a fine car.

Here is a pic of my Stage2-
    TT Pic.jpg

Edit- This IS definitely the car. Great owner. If I had the diff in $$, I would sell mine in a heartbeat and buy this one. And I am dead serious!
Stage 2 is scary, Stage 3 is ridiculous!

ok... as far as I know (and I know a fair bit) about Dinan's different E31 offerings, the only engines that got stroked were the 6 liter cars. All 9 of them ate themselves in short order, as Dinan did not use sleeves and just bored the Alusil blocks. On some, he used an S70 block (5.6 L stock, 86mm bore) but had to use stroker pistons to get them to 6 Liters... still not something that lasted. I'm building my E31 Dinan 6 Liter's engine yet again right now... which very well may be the only original 6L car still with a 6 Liter engine.

Until I saw this car being discussed, I did not think Dinan ever did the M73 cars. I can tell you that there is no way he would have screwed around with pistons / bore / stroke just to get an extra 2/10th's of a liter though...

The Stage III cars did get goodies the other cars did not, but boring/stroking was not one of them. Higher boost was...

Dinan built TT E32's as well, about 35 of them... and only one was a Stage III. That car is in my driveway - and it is amazing

Dinan TT E32 Stage III, I drove it when it was still in possession of the last owner. It was beast that would make family road trips very very fun.

I told the last owner if he ever sold it we will not be friends anymore..........I am glad it went to a good home, and Yes I am still friends with him.

If you decide to sell, I'm very interested!

Its a shame there are pretty much no DINAN cars across the pond in Europe... most people haven't even heard of them. So if you want one, US is your only option.

RHD 850CSi for sale in Portugal, 115,000 miles and asking £GBP150,000!!
    http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C845537
I'm thinking there may be too many zeroes in that price, or it's a ploy by the seller to filter out the tyre-kickers.

Looks like it could be CC88062, in Individual Avus Blue with Silver Grey/Black leather.
Last seen advertised in the UK (on the bay of e) back in December 2016, for £29,995 and with 114,000 miles (1st picture below).

Standard of the current advert does not truly reflect a car of such rarity and value, although the asking price now evidently includes throwing stars fitted backwards!

Bronzit if I weren't 2k+ miles from you - and I didn't have to replace my wife's Mercedes - I'd buy your 850 in a heartbeat. Nice car and low mileage for a 91. Having done several of the repairs you list as needed, I'm guessing it would only cost about $5-6k to fix them, depending on how psycho you'd want to go on the paint job. Whoever buys this is getting a great deal.

Thanks, Spikec. I feel the same way.
I'd love to get to some of the issues if I get the time. They all seem quite minimal, really.

Just wanted to give a shout out to a nice eBay seller. Username gander1-1, sells assortments of teflon washers and other bits, but can make you a set of any size for a modest amount. I needed a particular size I could not find off the shelf and he promptly had them made and shipped for about a third of what it would cost me at a local hardware store.

Not sure if its considered interesting or anything but I am selling my 97 840: https://wichita.craigslist.org/cto/6078023401.html.
Nice solid daily driver but could use some rear suspension work(knocking over bumps).

You can have them auction your car regardless of condition. They are an international auction site.
