upgrade your coils and you might be able to get away with using any of those, don't upgrade coils and you'll find out why everybody is telling you those are all wrong.
NONE of those are the same plug as the original F8LCR plugs. Resistance matters... I know, it *shouldn't* but it DOES.

And, just to beat a dead horse, neither are the NGKs 8^)
How come the middle half of any project always takes the most time?

    NKG BKR6EK and/or BK6EQUP will work.
    Resistance is 1k ohm.

RAFFEAL , have a talk with Max Lumens about upgrading to 40k volt coils , and
maybe upgrading your ignition wires to Magnecore . Then you should be able to use platinum or iridium plugs .

Great info, thanks. Been looking for 1Kohm plugs for a while. Did you test them to see if they were within spec?

Those are some funny-sounding plugs. Double and quadruple electrodes?

I have heard that these NGK plugs are recommended also by BMW to replace the old F8LCR plugs and they are also the closest matching plugs out there to replace it.

I installed NKG BKR6EK to my M70 and it runs idle smoothly and goes like a charm

Just remember... that although copper core plugs fire better, give you a little smoother idle, and may give you tiny bit more umph, they will not last as long...about 15K. I'm lazy and I don't want to change plugs again so used the oem NGK BKR6BEQUP...and I'm willing to sacrafice that little missing umph.

do not fit autolite plugs to anything, quite possibly some of the worst plugs i have used in any motor.
only fit for garbage domestics...use quality plugs in a car you care about.

OK THANK ALL OF YOU FOR TO HELP OEM BOSCH F8LCR WINS, WHY CAUSE I HEAR SOME OF YOU SAY

    '' NKG BKR6EK and/or BK6EQUP will work.
    Resistance is 1k ohm.''

    ALSO

''Just remember... that although copper core plugs fire better, give you a little smoother idle, and may give you tiny bit more umph, they will not last as long...about 15K. ONE MORE THING I BUY TWO BOSCH COILS 2011 BUT I HAVE THE Bosch Platinum+4 Spark Plug -FGR8DQP IN MY CAR FROM THEN TOO THIS MEANS WHEN I BUY THE NEW PLUGS I HAVE TO GET TWO NEW COILS ALSO FOR HE SAID

''upgrade your coils and you might be able to get away with using any of those, don't upgrade coils and you'll find out why everybody is telling you those are all wrong.

bosch platinum +4 plugs are terrible in any car...marketing hype right there.
just fit fresh factory spec plugs or the ngk equivalent and roll with it.

I've used autolites before and they did work out in my "domestic" either. For domestics I'm a Champion man. Euro, NGK's

OK, just so you fully understand...
Bosch F8LCR plugs were discontinued long ago, what Bosch says is a suitable replacement - is not, as many folks have found out. Some get away with using the higher resistance plugs, most do not - hence the upgraded coil comment. Upgraded coils refer to a higher output coil, NOT the OEM Bosch units... 10Kv vs 40Kv... that makes a difference.

So, if you want to run the stock ignition system with Bosch coils, great... but use some of the 1k resistance plugs mentioned above (that ARE still available) or, if by some magic you find some real F8LCR's... otherwise, with uprated coils, you can run just about anything you want (meaning, any flavor of plug in the correct range and physical dimensions).

To make sure you are utterly confused, I am running Denso equivalent. I prefer them over the NGK mentioned above. I ran NGK for about 1000 miles then switch. The copper plugs are cheap enough for you to try 2 or 3 brands before making a decision...
