A couple of questions for you:
-What engine management are you running?
-Are you running 135mm non-vanos rods? What fuel are you running shouldn't your CR be around 11.5:1?

I will be using a link G4 extreme wire in ecu

On this engine it is the m50b25 engine with the m52b28 crank, rods and pistons compression should be around 10.2:1 im going to see how long it will last some people say you can get 500hp from a standard engine??

I have another m50 block which ill mate with the m54b30 crank forged rods, pistons, arp hardware and steel head gasket then ill try see if i can get over the 500hp mark

Its going to run on pump gas and be road legal well thats the plan

Cheers, ok so another quick update, hope everyone had a good new year and got lots of good things for christmas...
So i got my manifold back from Pro coat auckland, must say they did a great job, here are some pics of it in satin black 1200deg coating. There will be more updates soon on the install and wiring of the ecu, then hope to have some great vids for ya.

    AGAIN,
    an inspiration to us.

    I knight thee... HEXAFOLD.

Finally a manifold worthy of the straight-forward terminology.
Remember, save the fixtures so to fab up a few more for the other mal-fortunate RHD owners who demand HUGE boost.

Yeah im pretty happy with it.
As we had a day off work today i got some heat shielding from under a e46 BMW grabbed some tin snips, Dolley and a hammer and molded 3 heat shields in my engine bay, i ran out of time today due to going wakeboarding, but there will be one more that connects to the one in the rear of this photo and joins to the one underneath, they will join to each other with small rivets.

That is some TRULY ingenious use of E46 heat shielding. So you'll rivet them together,
but how will they atach to the apron, rails and tunnel?

I love the awkward light of this shot too.
    Morning or evening?

A few lil updates got the shield work done and the engine installed, brought a S/H hydro handbrake today i will fit that once the seats are in, also ordered up a boost solenoid which should be here in the morning.

I got a couple of questions hope someone can chime in
    1. is there any point running separate boost control for each wastegate?
    2. where the hell do i run the feed and return for the water cooling of waste gates and turbo from?
    3. if im running a boost controller is it best to put the rated spring in the wastegate for the lowest psi boost i want to run because i can turn it up by adding pressure to the opposite side? blue spring is about 8 psi

im not gonna lie, this is one of the top notch builds i have seen on the forums, im undergoing a top mount turbo install as well, no wear near this caliber tho, this gives me confidence. i have no experience with boosting anything, so its gonna be an interesting/learning experience. i'll be following this build for sure

hi,it looks very nice.in germany it would cost thousands of dollers,
alone for approval to ride it legal on the streets.
how is it in new zealand?we can go on the highway as fast as we want.
but what if one remodels it is always expensive because of laws, declined, approvals.
    greeting

Cheers ziptied, i knew nothing before i started about forced induction but ive loved every part of this build and learnt a bit on the way. I def recommend reading alot of forums and seeing how different people do the same thing and then you can choose to put your spin on it. good luck.

Are you running a puller or a pusher fan? If so what model/CFM? From the way your intercooler plumbing is ducted it looks like you will be running a pusher?

I was going to run a small puller fan on the back and a large pusher fan on the front, not sure what model or cfm.

The other idea was to run a pusher fan and use the extra space behind to run a gilmer belt set up, but i cant find out where to get them from??

If the weather holds up this weekend ill start putting some things back together and prepping the engine.

    Nice Work
Its interesting to see how corrosive some Non BMW coolant can be on aluminum cylinder heads.
