Omg this was a fantastic idea. My dad just got a 92 325i that is lowered has intake and exhaust for 400 bucks. It is a father son project and we need an engine. I think the piston rings are shot or the timing chain broke. I'm in Peoria but I go up to Chicago and Rockford alot. I am in need a junk yard that has a decent selection of motors for a good price. We may try an engine swap also. Thanks guys.

I have not been there in 2 years or so. Poor bmw selection from what I can remember. They used to have 50% Tuesdays back when everyone was doing it.

i motor, or the e motor? Wadsworth pick-n-pull has an 87 325. I think it is an E engine, but I am not sure. A few cars over there is a 525i with an M20 but no head.

You need to pull ot yourself. They have pricing posted there. You can either get the engine by itself, or entire package which is everything flywheel forward.

Colin, throw an m50 in it and be done. The m50 in that car will make you pee your pants.

I went to the summit yard last weekend. A decent amount of BMWs. Actually had 3 318ti. And a few e34525 and e38 740.

Are there have this parts for BMW E36 m50b25tu? I think the same with 5 series with M50 engine.

looks like lkq has been slack with the BMWs, but summit picknpull had a bunch. 3 e36 318tis in decent shape. One of them had a really nice black leather interior.

There was an E21 at the Summit Pick-n-Pull a couple weeks back. Checked back a few days ago and its no longer listed in the inventory. Can you buy an entire car from them (hopefully someone on here got it) or did Summit send it to the crusher?

Once the car hits the yard, you can no longer buy it. This one went to car heaven about 3 weeks ago. IIRC, this one was a manual trans, some rust, lsd diff that someone pulled.
